School has made the world a very busy place.  I do not walk as much as I would like, and I have let this amazing habit go.  However I do not want to discount that I have walked for the past 6 months - so I will average the walking to 16000 steps per month.  Some months may be more some less - but I am averaging at this point.  I am aiming low so I can actually get my rear in gear.

16000 x 6 = 96000 steps
96000 / 10000 = 9.5 roughly - so 9.5 x 5miles = 47.5 miles

Probably way under what I have actually walked - but it's a good starting point.

I was at 28.4 miles from Trinidad and 1109 miles away from New Orleans.  I made it to and past Trinidad - 19.1 miles past in fact.  I am going to say for easy sake that I made it to Raton NM.

My next goal is Capulin NM where I will stop off to see the Capulin Volcano National Monument

I am back on track and back to my goal - I will be going to New Orleans some time around my Birthday I think.  A nice way to celebrate.

I am 1083 miles away from New Orleans.
